Ditte Maria le-Fevre is an actor who trained at the William Esper Studio in New York, graduating in 2004. She works as a communication trainer, consultant, teacher, facilitator and presenter coach, and has 20 years of experience training top executives, journalists, employees, TV presenters and podcast hosts in presentation skills.
What does Ditte Maria le-Fevre offer?
Communication training with an actor in three areas: presentation skills (communication from one to many), difficult conversations (communication between two) and forum theatre (communication between many). She is also an acting coach and teaches Meisner technique.
What do you get out of communication training with Ditte Maria le-Fevre?
You train and get better, instead of nodding along to a PowerPoint and going back to doing what you always do. Together with role-play actors, you try out realistic situations from your own working day, get specific feedback and try again until it sticks.
Presentation skills
Your presentations match your expertise, and your message lands clearly, so your audience knows what to do. You become aware of your habits and learn to use body language, voice, pace and pauses, even when the nerves kick in.
Difficult conversations
You get specific feedback on how your conversation partner experiences you, even when they react with anger, tears or silence. Your difficult conversations become clearer and more respectful, and you know how to prepare and set a clear goal.
Forum theatre
Everyone is involved, including the quiet and the sceptical. You gain a shared language and insight into each other’s reality, and you leave with concrete actions and phrasings that you have already tried out.
Who is the training for?
Everyone who wants to get better at communicating with others: teams, managers, specialists, boards, consultants, TV presenters, podcast hosts, editors and politicians. Clients include municipalities, educational institutions, media, organisations, foundations and companies. See references and collaborators.
Is the training in Danish or English?
Ditte Maria le-Fevre trains in both Danish and English.
What do you train in presentation skills?
You train creating impact, contact and presence, using body language, voice, pace, pauses and energy, communicating complex material clearly and precisely, and recognising, understanding and using your nerves. You present, get specific feedback and try again.
How does a presentation skills programme work?
It starts with an initial conversation to identify your needs. Executive programmes are 3–5 individual sessions. Group programmes range from a few hours to 2-day courses. The training is based on your own presentation, whether you are going on TV, standing in front of many new people or speaking to your team.
Does Ditte Maria le-Fevre train TV presenters and podcast hosts?
Yes. As a presenter coach, Ditte Maria le-Fevre helps TV presenters and podcast hosts make an impact. She has trained presenters at DR (Deadline, News, Digital, Drama, Children & Youth, Ultra, Podcast and MGP) and for Drive Studio, Journalisten, Philipson Wine and TV2 Fyn. The training covers news, children’s and youth TV, factual programmes, YouTube explainers, YouTube presenters (sales), podcasts and social media.
What is training in difficult conversations with an actor?
An experienced role-play actor plays the employee or manager you need to talk to. The conversation is based on a realistic situation from your own working day. Afterwards the actor tells you how it felt to sit on the other side of the table, and you can try again without consequences.
Which conversations can you train?
For example performance reviews, sickness absence conversations, dismissals, feedback and expectation conversations, conflict conversations, sales conversations and negotiation, complaints and angry customers, difficult messages and bad news, and conversations with angry or frustrated citizens.
How many participants can take part in training in difficult conversations?
4–6 participants. Larger groups can be divided into parallel tracks with one actor and one facilitator.
What is forum theatre?
Role-play actors stage your reality briefly and precisely, for example a change that grinds to a halt or a decision that lands badly. With safe and sharp facilitation, participants try out new ways of speaking and acting. Forum theatre is used for change management, culture change and conflict management.
How long does forum theatre take?
A session can last from 2 hours to a full day and is often for larger groups.
